They display more Black Manikins than in America and America has more Black Women... Go Figure
It’s true what they say about Italian men. Other than the fact that they would kill for any atypical woman who stands out (e.g. tall blondes) they do love black women. They couldn’t get enough of me when I was over there. I have a theory on why they may like us. I believe the Lombardi (a.k.a. Italians) historically since classical times during the Roman Empire have had a concept of Africans that is much different than the Anglo-Saxon one.
Caesar and Marc Anthony, for example, fell in love with a very attractive and powerful dark skinned woman from Africa – Cleopatra. Also, thinking of Shakespeare’s Othello, his concept of interracial conflict may have been exaggerated for the purposes of the plot, if the Lombardi had contact with the Moors then they must have perceived dark skinned Moorish soldiers as their equivalent (especially since I heard that Moors actually use to enslave some of the light skinned races).
Furthermore, Anglo-Saxton’s barged into West Africa and witnessed a culture satisfied with living with the Earth instead of against it. They misinterpreted them for being uneducated with little technologies and enslaved them. To justify their enslavement they told themselves that they are inferior, ignorant people only a degree above cavemen or primates. Therefore, the Anglo-Saxons in the North gained a more negative attitude as opposed to those Lombardi in the South who made contact with positive examples of Africans.
